Over the past twenty-five years, five friends reunite for their annual week-long getaway of comradery and adventure. This year, however, Glen Feffley suggested something different; a lake house in the quiet Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. It's quite a departure from their usual trips. Eagles Point is a small town in rural America. Weathered signs hang above storefronts along its idyllic Main Street, and friendly local conduct their lives with a casualness that seems unconcerned with time.

The five men venture into town one night, looking for a bit of fun, unaware a heinous crime, rare for this town, has been committed at the restaurant where they stop for dinner. When the town's Chief of Police declares he has evidence proving some of them are involved, the five begin asking questions and doubting their decades-long friendship. Soon, they begin to unravel a secret this town has kept for far too long.

This is nothing like the author's trilogy, The Dream Traveler Series! If you've read The Dream Traveler series, this book will blow you away! It's a completely different genre. I read the trilogy (his first three books) and thoroughly enjoyed each book. This one was one of those can't put it down books which very rarely happens to me. And I read A LOT of books. :-) It is very entertaining reading and the character development is awesome. ~Barbara
