The CIA discovers a hostile nation's planned invasion of a US ally, prompting Director Nathan Gibbs to search for a solution.  One potential asset is Alec Devers, whose technological innovation and exceptional intellect could provide the answers.  However, Devers is unwilling to cooperate because the CIA attempted to exploit and eliminate his college roommate and friend, Jason Field, who holds a special Dream Travel ability that could be a powerful weapon against them if left unchecked.

Mia Fresno transfers from Phoenix to Langley for a special assignment.  She quickly befriends a small group, including Field and Devers.  Their social interactions solidify her cover as a green agent and allow her special access to their extracurricular interests.  Becoming part of their group doubles her concealment to pursue another Top-Secret operation: identifying unsanctioned programs operating within the seedy underbelly of the CIA.

 

Dark Ops Chief Mason Shockley suspects Fresno is getting too close to the truth.  He conspires to remove her from the equation using the same tactics they tried with Field.  All this in an effort to save himself from the declassification of his methods and an investigation that could easily land him in prison for life – or worse.

Will Devers’ secret technology turn the tide on the invasion?  Is the evidence Fresno collected enough leverage to keep her alive?  Will Fields’ Dream Travel ability give the cohort enough protection from Gibbs’ and Shockley’s betrayal?
